The Nexteer Skilled Trades Scholarship Fund mission is to assist graduating high school seniors and non-traditional students enter the Skilled Trades curriculum at Delta College. Preference may be given to a student with previous exposure to or study of machine operations, industrial supervision, skilled trades or mechanical design technology. The goal of this scholarship fund is to help improve the community-at-large by providing deserving individuals within our community a way to achieve their career goals within an increasingly in-demand occupation.
● Resident of Bay, Midland or Saginaw Counties, or surrounding Great Lakes Bay Region
● Part- or full-time enrollment
● Pursuing skilled trades education at Delta College
● Additional consideration will be given to Nexteer Team Member/immediate family member (children, grandchildren, step-children)
Academic performance (20); demonstrated success in program with manufacturing and industrial technology (20); overall involement (20); essay on career goals (20); citizenship/character (10); membership (Nexteer Team Member or immediate family member) (10).
